Job Summary Performs skilled maintenance in the care of all Bill Frederick Park grounds and facilities. Employees in this class are responsible forthe performance of a variety of tasks in the general maintenance, minor repair, and cleaning of the park’s buildings, facilities, and equipmentwhich includes but is not limitedto, trash pick-up and the cleaning of pavilions, rental spaces, restrooms, and park buildings. This requires a working knowledge of hand tools and power tools as well as medium and heavy machinery. Examples of equipment include shovels, screwdrivers, wrenches, power tools like drills, blowers including ride behind blowers, pressure washers, water wagons, line/string trimmers, pole saws, chainsaws, etc. The ability to operate equipment such as John Deere tractor, zero turn mower, single axle tailor, Toro workmancarts, golf carts, and various city vehicles, etc. The majority of the work is performed outdoorsand employee is exposed to weather conditions,insects, and various chemicals. Work is performed with limited supervision and is reviewed while in progress and upon completion.
Work Schedule: Candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule and be available seven days a week including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Schedules are subject to change based on division needs, park schedule, and events.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and two (2) years experience in grounds or general building maintenance
required; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License
required.

If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
- Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
