    Intake Supervisor

    *Typical working hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.*

    Flexible Schedules/No On-call

    While it is preferable the position is located at the Central Missouri Regional Office in Columbia, consideration is open statewide to ensure the best candidate for the position.

    Role Description

    This position is a professional position, responsible for overseeing the implementation of the intake and eligibility processes. The successful candidate will supervise intake team members, provide quality assurance including data collection, and personally perform the intake process when necessary.

    • Knowledge of developmental disabilities, causes, and supports for habilitation.

    • Ability to effectively and efficiently organize complex tasks and timelines.

    • Ability to monitor others for organization and timeline management and teach those skills when necessary.

    • Ability to manage complex processes and information using a variety of Information Management Systems and programs such as Excel.

    • Knowledge of applicable CSRs, DMH DOR’s, Division Directives, Regional Office policies and procedures relating to the intake and assessment process.

    • Knowledge of DMH mission, vision, and values.

    What you’ll do

    • Supervise Intake Specialists who complete Intake referrals and determine eligibility of individuals seeking services from Division of Developmental Disabilities.
    • Supervise Intake Assistants who perform clerical responsibilities.
    • Ensure team members adhere to all Division guidance and timelines associated with the intake process.
    • Review eligibility determinations to ensure accuracy and consistency.
    • Follow protocol when an informant, individual, guardian or provider have questions about eligibility determination.
    • Develop and maintain quality assurance systems to monitor team performance and ensure the team meets timelines and benchmarks utilizing Excel, Share Point, and other systems.
    • Provide case consultation and review.
    • Review and approve all determinations.
    • Monitor and respond to inquiries in the Intake Leadership Email Account.
    • Complete Initial Waiver Eligibility Verifications and Diagnosis Update Requests.
    • Implement and maintain data collection systems including management of the Division’s Information Management System.
    • Collect, analyze, and report intake process data as specified by the Director of Intake and Assessment, Regional Office Director or other Division administration as requested.
    • Communicate with the individual, family, guardian, support coordinators, providers and other parties as appropriate, in a clear and effective manner.
    • Facilitate the Engage process with assigned team members.
    • Be willing and open to have a flexible schedule to meet the needs of Division stakeholders and individuals within the Division of Developmental Disability system.
    • Attend and/or facilitate Intake Team meetings to share experiences and problem solve possible solutions to difficult situations that occur during the intake process.
    • Use appropriate computer programs to log activities performed.
    • Attend local and statewide meetings to discuss, review, and share information related to new and/or revised policies and procedures.
    • Exercise independent judgement in making decisions in accordance with established policies and procedure.
    • Attend and pass annual refresher classes provided through MELS and/or MO Learning.
    • Attend and participate in engage meetings, team meetings, all staff meeting and other meetings as scheduled.


    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree and 3 or more years of relevant experience OR;
    • 6 years of professional experience assessing and/or evaluating individuals with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities
