    Title: Summer Intern - Human Resources

    Starting Pay: $20 an hour

    Position Summary:As part of the Human Resources Department within the Massachusetts Trial Court, you will gain hands-on experience in exam administration, talent acquisition, outreach, and HR operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to support HR initiatives in a professional and highly collaborative environment. As an intern, you will assist in various operational and administrative tasks, ensuring that all processes are executed efficiently and effectively.

    Duties:

    • Assist the Exam Administration Team with coordinating and organizing the exam process for candidates.
    • Support the scheduling of exams and the management of candidate communications.
    • Aid in maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of exam materials.
    • Help with administrative tasks such as data entry, database management, and document preparation.
    • Assist in preparing exam materials and ensuring the proper distribution to relevant parties.
    • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth execution of exams.
    • Support the team in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to exam logistics.
    • Assist with special projects related to improving exam administration processes.
    • Assist TA Advisors with intake meetings with hiring managers, job postings, sourcing, screening, etc.
    • Assist with special TA projects, including community outreach, high volume hiring, and events
    • Support Manager with various administrative tasks, as needed (e.g. managing ServiceNow tickets, booking conference rooms, scheduling, researching recruitment engagements, database management)
    • Pre-screen candidates as needed for recruiters (e.g. asking for updated resumes, samples/portfolios, etc.) and upload info in a database
    • Perform general office duties, including answering phones, organizing files, and scheduling meetings.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Currently enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree program.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • High level of integrity regarding the confidential nature of the position.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to multi-task and manage a variety of assignments at once.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively in oral and written form.

    Additional Desired Skills:
    • Previous experience in an administrative or office environment is preferred.
    • Interest in the judicial or public service sectors is preferred.
    • Knowledge of database management systems or applicant tracking systems is preferred.
