• As a BCDR Team Lead will be an integral member of the BCDR Team that reports to the BCDR Manager. You will lead, supervise, and mentor a team that is responsible for developing, implementing, managing, supporting, and exercising the State of Missouri’s BCDR plans supporting critical ITSD systems and processes.
• You will be responsible for tracking and leading team tasks and responsibilities, establishing and closely monitoring project deliverables and deadlines, working with vendors, and coordinating with other ITSD and Agency teams within and outside our consolidated IT environment.
This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) supporting the Office of Cybersecurity (OCS).

- Work with all ITSD teams in the training, planning, development, implementation, testing and ongoing analysis of BCDR plans.
- Lead, design, delegate, coordinate, and assist with all team duties.
- Lead, supervise, mentor, and train junior team members.
- Including cross-training of duties among all BCDR teams and members.
- Lead and provide coordination in the ongoing development and maintenance of:
- BCDR related policies, standards, and reference architecture.
- Information System Contingency Plans (ISCP).
- Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery event planning, testing, and exercises.
- Lead team participation and providing assistance during continuity events, disaster recovery events, and the coordination of system recovery validation efforts during a reconstitution.
- Provide input to ITSD, OCS, and BCDR management and leadership.
- Serves as a project lead and/or provides technical direction to lower-level team members.
- Act as a backup for other BCDR team leads and fill in for BCDR management as required.
- Ensuring best practices, policies, and standards are being followed and implemented.
- Responsibilities are performed under general supervision.
- Other duties as assigned.
- A bachelor’s degree related to Computer Information Systems or Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery with multi-functional IT experience, including specialized experience with one or more of the following, or similar, State of Missouri IT related services:
o Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery
o Data Center Operations (On-Site and/or Cloud)
o Enterprise Architecture
o Network LAN/WAN
o Network Monitoring
o Network Operations Center or Operations Command Center
o Network Security
o Servers, Storage, and related services - Proficient and Demonstratable Knowledge and Skills Desired:
o Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery
o NIST 800-34 and/or ISO 22301
o ITSD institutional knowledge of State data centers, cloud systems, networking environment, organizational structure, and teams.
o Team leadership, supervision, communication, training, and mentoring,
o Ability to communicate and share technical skills and knowledge with others.
o Ability to present technical information clearly and concisely.
o Application services and dependencies.
o Network topology and secure communication.
o Data center technology, best practices, infrastructure, and architecture.
o Cloud technology, infrastructure, and architecture.
o Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, ability to correlate data, ability to identify issues, ability to notice patterns and discrepancies, and ability to explore possible solutions and obtain a consensus on resolution.
o Analyze the impact of projects and recommend courses of action.
o Ability to analyze and solve challenging technical problems.
o Understand relationships and interactions among systems. - Successful background check results are required for employment in this position. This may include background checks involving a candidate’s name and/or fingerprints and other screenings as needed for the specific position.
