About the Role As the Environmental Compliance Administrative Specialist I, you'll be the organizational backbone of a team dedicated to protecting the environment. You’ll provide high-level administrative support to our Pretreatment, Pollution Prevention, and Urban Runoff programs — plus assist our Technical Services group and Customer Service Team.You'll also play a key role in keeping things running smoothly at the front desk, serving as the daily back-up to our Front Desk Receptionist.

What You’ll Be Doing: - Preparing industry permits, inspection reports, and enforcement letters for environmental compliance programs
- Supporting pollution prevention efforts like dental mercury reduction, FOG (fats, oils & grease), and outreach campaigns
- Entering and tracking data from inspections and enforcement activities
- Providing administrative support for regular and special projects
- Assisting with customer service and front desk operations as needed

Minimum Qualifications: - Two years of college (or equivalent experience) with coursework in business and computer applications PLUS two years of responsible administrative or technical office experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other common business software.
- Ability to learn specialized software used in environmental compliance.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team-first mindset.
This position is part of a flexibly staffed series. After one year of service and demonstrated proficiency, incumbents may be eligible to promote to Administrative Specialist II.
