Minimum Qualifications
Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Business Administration, Public Administration, or in a field related to the job, plus four (4) years of related experience, including one (1) year which were in a project or program lead capacity.

This position resides in the newly formed Grants Division of the Intergovernmental Relations Office. This new division seeks to centralize grant funding strategies. The
Grants Administrator provides consultative services throughout the City, collaborating across teams, and developing and delivering programs and training.
This position will: - Serve as a City-wide resource to identify/solicit/secure funding for City programs and activities.
- Bolster public/private partnerships.
- Manage projects; develop and maintain grant program plans
- Plan and implement training programs
Successful candidates will demonstrate the following: - Expertise in securing grant funding and in managing grants.
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with City employees at all levels of the organization, and with Federal and State Grant Program Officers
- Ability to managing multiple projects simultaneously

$33.49 - $42.71
Hours
Monday - Friday.
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Hours may vary depending on operational needs. Some evenings and weekends may be required.

Duties, Functions and Responsibilities
Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.Explores, researches, and assesses Federal, State, and Private Grant opportunities. Provides consultative services related to grants and social service agreements across the organization to provide best practices that ensure compliance with all grants and Local, State, and Federal requirements. Enhance programs and services by establishing and supporting a network of stakeholders across the City for knowledge sharing. Designs and facilitates workshops, training, and content to build capacity across the organization. Monitors, tracks, and audits grant applications and performance to ensure compliance with reporting requirements for State and Federal grant-funded programs. Coordinates with COA departments to review, assess, and provide expert analysis and input on grants, service agreements, contracts, and related documents. Facilitates annual grant program planning to include annual performance and evaluation reporting; enters monthly reports for State and Federal grant-funded programs. Develops standard operating procedures and auditing tools.

- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and effectively manage workflow to meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain connections within other City departments and external funding agencies.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to analyze complex administrative personnel and organizational problems and develop effective courses of action.
