Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for
Respiratory Care Practitioners III who will function in a lead capacity while performing the most complex patient care assignments and administering the full range of respiratory therapy services. Duties include assessing, evaluating and developing care plans for patients with serious respiratory compromise; measuring and reporting information on the patient's condition, including making recommendations to physicians. Providing education to the patients and their families regarding their condition, procedures, medication management and care plans.

ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Incumbents are required to work various shifts, which may include weekends and holidays. Failure to indicate availability for day, swing, night, rotating, weekends and holidays will disqualify applicants from the examination process. Shift differentials are provided.
Pre-Employment Process: Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation, physical and verification of employment history and education.
Certification: Must be able to obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within six (6) months of hire.

Minimum RequirementsCandidates must meet ALL of the following:
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in acute care hospital.
LICENSE: Must possess and maintain a current Respiratory Care Practitioner licensed by the California State Respiratory Care Board.
CREDENTIAL: Must possess and maintain a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
CERTIFICATION: Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
SHIFT AVAILABILITY: Must be available to work
ALL SHIFTS (DAY, SWING, NIGHT, ROTATING, WEEKENDS and HOLIDAYS). Indicate availability on the Supplemental Questionnaire.
Desired QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess experience as a supervisor or lead therapist in an acute care hospital, with training in the following areas: neonatal intensive care, trauma and volumetric diffusive respirator (VDR). Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess NBRC Prenatal/Pediatric and ACLS preferred.
