  • Job Description

    This position will coordinate program and financial audits of the internal operations of the Department of Mental Health and external organizations providing contracted services to the Department and/or its clients.

    Responsibilities include evaluating the accuracy of financial records, effectiveness of operational controls, conformance to program policies and procedures, compliance with state and federal laws and regulations, report writing, consulting with administrators and management concerning audit findings, providing recommendations for recovery of over-expenditures and disbursement of money to correct under-expenditures, and the ability to exercise considerable independence and initiative in performance of assignments.

    Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 24 earned credit hours in accounting and two or more years of professional auditing experience.
