About this Role:This role is an integral part of the HR Section, supporting all HR functions within the section, such as recruitments, onboarding and offboarding, labor relations, leave management, payroll, and general HR. In this role, you will help support hiring in a large and growing division full of diverse jobs and people, provide customer service to employees on all things HR, help manage HR communications activities, and handle a variety of HR projects. You will serve as the primary manager of the sections' Internal and external SharePoint sites and record keeping. The ASA role also assists with key projects, such as planning and hosting division-wide new employee orientations, managing meeting schedules, and supporting our presence at various career fairs.

Enjoy training, comprehensive benefits , and growth opportunities.Job DutiesWhat You Will Be Doing:- Manage the HR section’s document filing and record retention and archiving requirements to include: recruitment documents, personnel records, and employee relations documents. Support the management of the electronic records management system.
- Provide administrative support for the drafting, reviewing, finalizing, and mailing of letters and correspondence, ensuring all correspondence is proofread, edited, and in alignment with the County’s standards.
- Manage administrative functions for the Human Resources work unit. Process purchases and invoices online, coordinating with Accounts Payable and vendors to resolve issues. Support program staff in the procurement of services including printing, transportation, consultant services, supply ordering, etc
- Assist in recruitment and onboarding/offboarding activities, including communicating with candidates, advertising, scheduling and preparing documentation for interviews, pre-employment processes, applicant tracking, preparing correspondence, updating forms, placing online job announcements, and maintaining new employee paperwork and materials.
- Enter, maintain, retrieve, and prepare data for analysis using internal and county-wide databases using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Access, PeopleSoft and NEOGOV.
- Manage meeting logistics for staff members, including notices, room reservations and setup. Participate in the coordination of events and activities, including internal meetings, outreach events, careers fairs, and staff team building events and retreats
- Maintain the section’s SharePoint site with up-to-date information.
Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, SkillsQualifications You Bring:- Highly proficient in the use of various computer software, such as but not limited to: Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience providing customer service or administrative support to a business unit or department.
- Experience working with confidential records and/or materials and records management.
- Experience working in data entry and basic data analysis experience
- Experience working with the public and/or diverse constituencies.
- Experience providing administrative support for complex projects or programs and prioritizing multiple tasks and duties.

Supplemental InformationWorking Conditions:- Remote and Onsite Work Details: Employees in this role work remotely from a home location, with onsite reporting requirements typically up to 4 days a month. The frequency of onsite work is determined by business needs and may be adjusted accordingly. On-site reporting locations may be at various King County worksites, including the collaboration space at King Street Center (201 S. Jackson St, Seattle, WA 98104). This work arrangement promotes work-life balance and reduces carbon footprint under the department’s vision.
- Remote Work Location Requirement: Employees must reside in Washington State and be within a reasonable distance of King County worksites to meet onsite reporting requirements.
- Work Schedule: This full-time position works a 40-hour work week. This position follows the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is overtime eligible.
- Union Representation: This position is non-represented.
