    This position may be filled at one of three levels based on knowledge, skills, and abilities. The entry salary is posted above, an Intermediate starting salary of $41,685.12 and a Senior starting salary of $48,621.60.

    Job Location: Selected candidate may report to offices in Sikeston, Willow Springs, or Poplar Bluff.

    The maintenance technician provides paraprofessional support in connection with the maintenance of roadways. Responsibilities are performed under direct supervision.

    MoDOT will bring candidates onto the team as entry-level, intermediate, or senior level, based on your skills and experience.     • Collects data for field, bridge and roadside maintenance projects.
    • May coordinate supply and material movement within the district.
    • Collects data from vendors, contractors, and governmental agencies for operations in assigned areas.
    • Verifies and processes payments to vendors, political subdivisions, and contractors.
    • Purchases materials, parts, equipment and supplies within predetermined limits; prepares and processes purchase orders by determining product specifications, searching for vendors, and monitoring vendor contracts for accuracy of delivered goods.
    • Maintains databases and spreadsheets related to fleet management, facilities management, procurement, and/or equipment repair.
    • Supports the research of vendors and products to locate appropriate commodities and services.
    • Coordinate the Winter Strike Team, including scheduling with other districts, maintaining event database, and supporting Customer Service and the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) during winter operations.
    • Performs other duties as required or assigned.


    Minimum Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED/HiSET


    Special Working Conditions:

    • Job may require operation of vehicles to plow snow and spread ice control materials.
