The Office of Workforce and Community Initiatives (OWCI) is seeking candidates to fill a Program Specialist in the Monitoring Unit position located in Cole County based at 3705 MO Blvd 2 nd Floor, Jefferson City, MO.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Developing and implementing quality assurance protocols.
• Reviewing contractor monitoring plans, tools, and risk assessments.
• Conducting monitoring reviews that include entry and exit discussions; case file reviews; and produce reports.
• Developing procedures, policies, and instructions necessary to correct policy issues from staffing error trends.
• Developing or assisting in the development of training plans from staffing error trends.
• Designing and developing operational and administrative forms necessary for the transmission of information, satisfaction of reporting requirements, establishment of control systems, and evaluation of program effectiveness.
• Review reports and Standard Operating Procedure manuals as outlined within the contract.
• Coordinate with FSD Policy and Quality Assurance on processes.
• Verify policies and processes meet the requirements as outlined in the contract.
• Make recommendations for programmatic updates allowable within the federal and state laws based on changes by other states, legislative changes, etc.
• Other duties as assigned .
Two or more years of experience in a professional or technical job classification with the Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System in the Missouri Department of Social Services; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency. OR
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; and, four or more years of professional or technical experience providing social services; or conducting investigations or audits of social service providers, recipients, and/or applicants.
(24 earned graduate credit hours from an accredited college or university in social or behavioral sciences, Public or Business Administration, or a closely related field may substitute for one year of the stated experience.)
(A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social or behavioral sciences, Public or Business Administration, or a closely related field may substitute for two years of the stated experience.)
(Additional qualifying experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis for deficiencies in the stated college education.)
(Earned graduate credit hours from an accredited college or university in social or behavioral sciences, Public or Business Administration, or a closely related area may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required general experience at a rate of 24 earned credit hours for one year.)
Preferred Qualifications: - MEDES and FAMIS system knowledge.
- Exercise independence in problem solving.
- Data Entry and Management in Excel.
