    Accounts Supervisor (Consumer Banking Team)

    *Typical working hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.*

    Job Location: This position is domiciled at Chesterfield State Office Building (1390 Timberlake Manor Pkwy, Chesterfield, MO 63017)

    Role Description

    This is a supervisory position that participates in and oversees the work of Account Assistants and Senior Accountants. At this level, employees also manage processes or programs within a small section (e.g. Consumer Banking), including the development, evaluation, and revision of accounting policies and procedures to meet required rules. Employee supervision includes hire recommendations, training, planning and assigning work, performance assessment, coaching, and progressive discipline. Supervision at this level also requires employees to have the knowledge and skills to perform and review the work overseen.

    What you’ll do

    • 1500 report for Res Hab

    • Deposits- take to Bank and transfer funds to Central Bank

    • Signs Checks

    • IDA’s

    • Choices/ Autism Deposits

    • Backup to Staff

    • Spend down

    • Daily reconciliation

    • Engage with direct reports a minimum of 1x per month maintaining pertinent documentation and logging of monthly meetings in electronic Engage system

    • Complete Engage Evaluations semi-annually

    • Approve attendance requests in Time and Leave system as well as Administrative Logging system (if applicable to job function)

    • Assist Fiscal Manager with creating an equitable workload for staff

    • Backfill FTEs including job posting and interviewing

    • Provide in-person new hire training

    • Create training plan and schedule

    • Adjust training speed dependent on new hire understanding

    • Complete all job duties assigned to the specific role

    • Maintain any consumer or provider related required records or documentation

    • Serve as a resource for staff to seek assistance

    • Complete all required trainings including 40 hours annually required for supervisors

    • Oversee completion of day-to-day operations of assigned business area

    • Attend All Staff meetings for the Regional Office where position is physically located

    • Identify and escalate issues as needed

    • Communicate clearly, professionally and appropriately to all internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner presenting as one state department.

    • Travel required as needed

    • Follow all CSRs, DORs and other agency approved regulations

    • Other duties as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years of relevant experience (substitutions may be allowed).

    Key Skill

    In addition to those identified in the previous levels: Knowledge of supervisory techniques. Skill in interpreting statistical and financial statements, presenting financial reports and statements, and mentoring staff on these tasks. Ability to interpret and apply regulations, agency policies, and procedures associated with areas of assignment.
