    The Town of Truckee is currently accepting applications for Seasonal Street Maintenance Worker II Winter Snow Removal Positions. Town Employees are passionate about quality of life and community; we value integrity, teamwork, excellence, commitment, and accountability. We are actively seeking individuals with the same passion and values. The ideal candidate is available to work nights, weekends, and holidays under adverse conditions. Candidate must be responsible and able to work in a skilled and independent manner without close supervision. Must be able to communicate well with supervisors, coworkers, and the public.

    Duties include routine and skilled heavy physical labor in the maintenance and repair of Town streets, drainage facilities, and rights-of-way. Must possess two (2) years experience operating various pieces of heavy equipment used in the performance of street maintenance and snow removal. Knowledge of Town road system a plus. A minimum of a Class B driver’s license is desired. Applicants without a CDL that possess experience operating heavy equipment including: Frontend Loaders, Motor Graders, and Split pack Snow Blowers will be considered. Successful candidates with a CDL will be enrolled in the Town’s random drug and alcohol testing program, as required by the Department of Transportation.
