    Overview

    We’re looking for a Program Specialist to join Community Justice Alternatives (CJA) and coordinate the Useful Public Service (UPS) program within the Alternative Sentencing Department. This program gives individuals the opportunity to complete court-ordered service hours in ways that benefit our community.

    In this role, you’ll help create positive change through restorative justice initiatives-supporting accountability, growth, and community connection. It’s meaningful work where you can see the direct impact of your efforts every day.

    This position's schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm.

    Responsibilities

    What you'll be doing:
    • Providing customer service and answering questions about County and department policies.
    • Interviewing clients for Court-Ordered Useful Public Service (UPS) and assigning placements.
    • Processing UPS documentation and sharing progress with supervising agencies.
    • Sending reminders for upcoming deadlines.
    • Maintaining program files and records.
    • Entering and updating data accurately in department systems.

    Qualifications

    • Two (2) years in a directly related field or performance of similar duties.
    • Possess reliable transportation to be able to work in any County facility as needed and required.
    • Must be at least 18 years of age.
