    Grants or Senior Grants Reimbursement Specialist

    Federal Initiatives

    Location : Harry S. Truman Building - Jefferson City, MO

    Annual Salary : $42,000 - $55,000 (based upon credentials)

    The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.

    This is a full-time permanent position that will transition to new programs upon the end of ARPA grant programs.

    • Review financial records, with particular emphasis on review of invoices and proof of payment to process requests for reimbursement of funds

    • Provide technical support to grant recipients, including interpretation, explanation, and application of state and federal statutes, rules, and guidelines to ensure project success

    • Financial monitoring to ensure compliance with federal, state, and program requirements

    • Tracking and review of grant recipient audits

    • Review project performance reports and review, analyze, and assist with performance measurement data to ensure effective program operations.

    • Maintain knowledge of state and federal requirements to provide internal compliance and policy support to teammates

    • Conduct internal monitoring of programs and functions for continuous improvement

    • Exercise a high degree of initiative and judgment in the performance of assigned responsibilities

    Competencies:

    • Successfully collaborate across teams and functional lines

    • Attention to detail and ability to critically evaluate invoices and other financial documents for accuracy and eligibility

    • Efficiently organize and track large quantities of information to keep projects and programs organized and moving forward

    • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders

    • Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance and participate in occasional travel in the performance of assigned project monitoring

    • Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn federal rules, program policies, and other grant requirements

    • Strong writing abilities, including the preparation of complete and concise reports

    • Perform other related work as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Community Development, Economic Development, or a closely related field; OR, four or more years of professional experience with demonstrated knowledge in business and financial practices and the principles of Community and Economic Development

    • Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis for denying consideration to any applicant

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • A strong background in accounting, including reviews of payroll records, invoices, and other financial documents

    • Senior Grants Specialist: 1-2 years federal grant management
