POSITION HIGHLIGHTSThe Butte College Foundation is seeking a dynamic Foundation Events Specialist to lead and support events that connect donors, alums, and the campus community. This position plays a key role in bringing meaningful events to life that inspire giving and strengthen community relationships.
Working under the direction of the Program Coordinator, the Foundation Events Specialist oversees fundraising and stewardship events, including the annual gala, alum gatherings, scholarship ceremonies, and donor receptions. The specialist also partners with college departments and programs to support their fundraising events and sponsorship outreach, helping to build strong relationships that advance the Foundation's mission.
Work Schedule The work schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Over the summer the schedule changes to Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with Friday off.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:- Associate Degree* or the equivalent*; AND
- Two (2) years of experience closely related to the duties of this class.

* Associate Degree education equivalency is a 1 to 1 equivalency, one year of responsible work experience related to the classification for each full year (24-30 units) of college.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION, SPECIAL AND/OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:- Required to hold and maintain a valid driver license ‘if and when’ travel is required in the course of work.
- May be required to travel for various off-site meetings, trainings, conferences, and/or events in support of the overall objective of the position.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS- The successful applicant will be required to complete a medical history questionnaire and must agree to undergo and pass a pre-employment physical examination, based on the physical requirements of the position, prior to employment. The physician will be selected and paid for by the District. Disabilities not related to the essential physical job requirements will not preclude the applicant from being hired.
- Education Code § 87408.6 states that no person shall be initially employed by a community college district in an academic or classified position unless the person has submitted to an examination within the past sixty (60) days to determine that they are free of active tuberculosis.
