    About the Position:
    The Water Systems Technology Supervisor directly supervises employees performing operation, maintenance, and repair of the City's water, wastewater, irrigation, reclaimed water, and technology systems to meet the Water Resources performance criteria.

    Anticipated starting salary for this position may be up to mid-point depending on candidate’s experience and internal equity. The full salary range is listed above and mid-point for this position is $103,708.80/annually.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Education and Experience
      ◦ Associate's degree in electronics, telemetry, information systems, or water/wastewater technology or equivalent from an accredited educational institution.
      ◦ Seven years of experience in water/wastewater utility operations, maintenance, data management, or control system; including a minimum of one year of supervisory experience.
      ◦ Any equivalent combination of education and/or job-related experience that meets the minimum qualifications may be substituted.

    Licensing, Certifications and Other Requirements
      ◦ Must possess upon hire or promotion and maintain Grade III operator certifications from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality in Water and Wastewater. The certifications must include one in Water Treatment or Water Distribution; and one in Wastewater Treatment or Wastewater Collections.
      ◦ Must obtain within one year of hire or promotion and maintain Grade IV operator certifications from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality in either Water or Wastewater. The certifications must include one in Water Treatment or Water Distribution; and one in Wastewater Treatment or Wastewater Collections.
      ◦ Every person employed by the City of Scottsdale shall reside in the State of Arizona during his or her active employment by the City, regardless of whether the employee is approved to remote work.

    Other pertinent licenses and/or certifications may be required of some positions depending on department/section assignment.
